Christina Carpio

Christina Carpio is the Associate Director at Northern Illinois University’s Asian American Resource Center. She earned a M.S.Ed. in adult and higher education and a B.S. in public health from Northern Illinois University. Prior to joining NIU's Asian American Resource Center, Christina served as a Post-Secondary Success Coach with Elgin Community College's Trio Talent Search program guiding first generation students towards achieving their goal of going to college. She also worked at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign’s Asian American Cultural Center creating student-centered programs focused on diversity, cultural & social justice education. Her passion lies in helping students navigate through their college journey. Christina is a second-generation Filipina American, born in Chicago and raised in Skokie, Illinois.
